Small steps dear, just keep your feet moving(or tires😉in this case).

We'll be here to gobble up whatever you publish, but you must take care of yourself first.🙏

Thanks, MJ. Taking care of me included writing out some thoughts that had been spinning inside those wheels. I appreciate you reading them and the reassurance!

How are those tires doing? It's ok to park the bus for a while and take an extended yield if need be. You are the one driving the bus after all. Take care of you, Jfer.

Thanks, Flo. It’s so easy for me to say, “you’re right, I’m driving, maybe I will take a break,” and then I wake up wanting to write! Haha! I guess can separate the writing from the posting. It was easier on Facebook, not having to do the formatting and pictures (if I use my own here it’s a whole ordeal), and not worrying about random (and sometimes personal) posts going to people’s emails. Anyhoo, thank you for the reminder that whatever I do, it’s okay because I’m driving!

Tires low, words spill out

the bus limps, heart still driving.

We’re with you. Keep on

❤️ haiku encouragement — how special! Made me laugh, and , oh, you know I love it! Especially from you. Thank you so much, Joe!

My own therapist says to me, you can never be so good as to avoid other people‘s projections.

In that context, you could look at various reasons for obligations to… the passengers you don’t want reading certain things.

On a good day, and I’m having a lot more of them, I’ve stopped diluting myself for the comfort of others. My authenticity repels and attracts, and both sides of the coin are important. Niche and consistency are the hobgoblin of monetized minds. Your audience is your audience, no matter what you post. And like the vote, sometimes it’s good to repel people. They aren’t your people.

Maybe none of that applies or you didn’t mean that at all, but reading what you were saying was a nice reminder to me of these thoughts. ☺️

I love that advice, and that you’re having more good days and not diluting yourself for the comfort of others. “Niche and consistency are the hobgoblin of monetized minds” — for sure. It has come to taunt me here on Substack more than other platforms, for some reason. I appreciate the reminder that it’s okay to repel people. There was a lot in here, and I’m glad that’s what you commented on—thank you. 🙏

Lovely tribute to your uncle, and the bus metaphor is nice. It's okay to not just slow down but stop the bus occasionally and enjoy the view.

Thanks, Tim. I appreciate that, though I may have another tribute up my sleeve that doesn’t include my writing woes (one day, public or not). Or maybe I will stop and enjoy the view. Either way, unapologetic. :)
