The essay gets that “sending the sun” is presence, noncontingent and patient

Thank you! Patient, absolutely. Thanks for adding that!

You have a nice way with words, they seem honest and sincere. I pictured myself on a boat at sea just of the coast of Encinitas and dusk and at dawn. Quite nice.

Thank you, Paul. I appreciate the kindness, as I worked to get something abstract on the page. Glad they felt honest and sincere; they were. I am so glad it was a little meditative, that you pictured yourself at sea. 😊 thanks for reading, always 🙏

I liked the variety of times the sun plays in our lives.

I sit outside every morning 365 days a year to meditate, reflect and listen to something inspirational.

It is the golden hour that I can feel the temperature drop slightly which seems counterintuitive. The sun should warm. But in fact it pressing darker cold down. I can feel this subtle change.

In all you wrote it is beautiful because it all happens in stillness.

I like the variety of roles the sun plays in our lives, too!

That’s a lovely practice! How cool that you’ve become attuned to that moment! That’s a very subtle change to detect, and counterintuitive for sure.

Stillness, absolutely. And to notice that it’s all in motion, around! Thank you for your lovely comment! I will join you outside 🙏

Bravo Jennifer! Boy you sure have set the bar high this week. This could be one of my favorite essays🤍

🥰 🥰 really?! Oh my, that means a lot because, after the inspo finally hit, I was like, “aha! This is it!” Then, like the sunset’s rays pushing through atmosphere, I smeared some words on the page, hoping they captured the aha moment. Going to add some touch ups this morning, as I got a little cross eyed writing last night. 😆 also going to add voiceover!

It was absolutely worth the wait, and I can’t wait to listen to you tell it!

To say this is multifaceted essay is breathtaking is awe limited by my human capability. A deep, soul touching writing. You’ve captured so much here, Jennifer. Sending the Sun.

Thank you so very much for the kind words and for summarizing what I was trying to do so succintly. "..calm nights when light is decorative vs desperate nights when its the only thing to hold.." I love the way you put that. So glad the community as backup was more comforting than the rescue fantasy -- and that you caught that, too. I feel absolutely seen, and I can't tell you how much it means. :) Hope you have a day full of warm rays.
